Not all hospitals are the same when it comes to treating stroke.

Hospitals and doctors commit malpractice and negligence by not transferring stroke patients to comprehensive stroke centers.

Your life may depend on what hospital treats your stroke.

Choosing the Correct Hospital for Stroke Treatment

The only hospitals that are truly stroke centers are those allowed to call themselves “Comprehensive Stroke Centers.” These are the hospitals that can treat all aspects of stroke. Other hospitals may be allowed to call themselves “acute stroke care centers” or “primary stroke centers,” but if something goes wrong and you need a high level of care for your stroke, you should be immediately sent to a comprehensive stroke center.

A hospital must transfer a patient to the best stroke center available to care for the patient. Unfortunately, this does not always happen. Hospitals often are negligent and commit malpractice by not transferring patients with stroke to the appropriate facility.

If you or a loved is having symptoms of a stroke, it is best to go immediately to a comprehensive stroke center. For you convenience, the stroke lawyers at Eadie Hill have included a list of every comprehensive stroke center in the United States for your convenience.
